RAW STORIES.
NO FILTERS.
I SURVIVED. THEN I STARTED BUILDING.
Unfiltered Exposure began after a moment that could have ended my life.
In 2025, I crashed my Maserati GranTurismo — one of my dream cars — and almost died. Something I had worked toward owning became part of a story I never expected to tell. I survived, but the experience changed how I thought about my time and what I wanted to do with it.
Tomorrow had always felt like something I could count on. After that crash, it didn't.
My name is Winelson Merina, MBA, BS, RRT. I'm a father, a respiratory care practitioner, an entrepreneur, and the founder of Unfiltered Exposure. Through my work in critical care, I've spent years helping people through some of their most vulnerable moments. Finding myself facing my own mortality made that vulnerability deeply personal.
After the accident, I poured my energy into creating something meaningful. Within roughly two months, I transformed my garage in Bridgeport, Connecticut, into a podcast studio, investing more than $40,000 to bring the vision to life. I learned cameras, lighting, sound, and editing along the way. There were overwhelming days, long nights, and plenty of mistakes. But with each step, a space for honest conversation began to take shape.
That space became Unfiltered Exposure.

I wanted to create a place where people could speak openly about the experiences that shaped them — including the parts that rarely make it onto social media. The struggles behind success. The lessons inside failed relationships. Mental health, identity, purpose, and the difficult work of starting over.
Here, career professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, and people with powerful lived experiences have room to go deeper. Beyond credentials and accomplishments, I want to understand the person: what they've survived, what they've learned, and what they're still figuring out.
I bring my own curiosity and vulnerability to those conversations. I'm learning alongside my guests, asking the questions that matter to me and, hopefully, to someone watching who hasn't found the words to ask them yet.
My hope is that you leave an episode feeling understood, challenged, or more willing to have an honest conversation in your own life.
What's next for Unfiltered Exposure? More of exactly this. New episodes continue to drop on YouTube, more guests are stepping into the studio, and the guest-room door stays open — if you have a story worth telling, there's a chair and a mic waiting for you. What started in a garage in Bridgeport is becoming a home for honest conversation, one episode at a time.

WELCOME TO UNFILTERED EXPOSURE. THIS IS WHY I STARTED.
OUR VALUES
No Filter
Nothing here is polished for a press release. We keep the pauses, the tangents, and the honest parts.
Real Stories
Every guest has lived something worth talking about. The show exists to let them tell it in their own words.
Respect First
Some stories are heavy. We hold space for them — and for the people who trust us with theirs.
